Important note: solvers calculate solutions for specific situations, not general rules. The GTO play with AK on a K♠7♣2♦ board is different from AK on a J♠T♠9♣ board. This is why fully "playing GTO" is humanly impossible — there are too many unique situations. What players do instead is learn the patterns and principles behind solver outputs.

Balanced Ranges
A balanced range contains both value hands (hands you bet for profit) and bluffs in a mathematically correct ratio. If you only bet with strong hands, opponents will always fold and you lose value. Mixed Frequencies
In GTO poker, you do not always take the same action with the same hand. A solver might tell you to raise with Q♠J♠ 60% of the time and call 40% of the time in a specific spot. Humans approximate this by using randomization — for example, looking at the second hand of your watch to decide.
Minimum Defense Frequency (MDF)
MDF answers the question: "How often should I call or raise to prevent my opponent from profitably bluffing with any two cards?" The formula is simple: MDF = pot size / (pot size + bet size). Against a half-pot bet, MDF is 67% — you need to continue with at least 67% of your range to stop automatic bluff profitability.
